Ruby eased into a less comfortable position. The newest customer approached the bar with snowflakes melting on her coat and dark hair. She looked like an Ansel Adams photograph, all high contrast and sharp planes, a stark but beautiful landscape. Ruby's large hoop earrings swayed against her shoulders.
