At first Melody did as she was told, staring straight ahead and seeing for the first time the dark smudge on the side of the garage that he was suggesting was a bullet hole. Was she really where the shooter was standing? Her pulse started to pick up as her hand came up, making as if she was holding a gun. She swallowed, imagining for a moment what might have been going through the shooter's head. Was a bullet fired in self defense, or anger, or cold blooded murder? The last option sent a shiver through her and she noticed the bushes beside the garage start to vibrate, shaking and rustling as if something or someone was in them.
She quickly dropped her hand back to her side and spun around, hoping the man hadn't seen the bushes, and if he had that he'd not really taken much notice.
"Where's the body?" she asked, glancing back over her shoulder and wondering if it was inside the garage, and still there.
